The crowning jewel in the ICON family of bolt action rifles is the Thompson/Center ICON Warlord. With superior accuracy and T/C quality, the ICON Warlord is a superior rifle at the target range or as a precision tactical rifle. Using Thompson/Center’s Foundation for Accuracy and a hand-lapped, match-grade barrel with 5R rifling, the ICON Warlord is certified ½" MOA which is three shots in a half inch group (or less) at 100 yards. The certified target ships with each Warlord.
The ICON Warlord’s receiver is CNC-machined from solid-bar stock steel. The action features a full-length Picatinny dimensioned scope rail machined into the receiver top adding strength and helping to stiffen the already stout action. Recoil lugs on the bottom of the receiver interlock with the aluminum-bedding block epoxied rigidly into the stock. The flat-bottom receiver and aluminium-bedding block provide an extremely stable foundation.
