Walther wins Gold at World Cup in Korea

German shooter Henri Junghaenel (pictured with ISSF Secretary General, Mr. Franz Schreiber), set a new world record on his way to winning Gold at the recent ISSF World Cup Korea, in the Men’s 50m KK Prone rifle event using his Walther KK300 Alutec.
“I did not expect such a great result, at the first World Cup of the year” Junghaenel said.
Three days later, Junghaenel doubled his haul when he won Gold in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3P event also using his Walther KK300 Alutec.
“I will definitely compete in the next ISSF World Cup in Fort Benning, USA. I live in the US, and I won’t miss that match!”
Other shooters who stood on the podium in Korea included:
Silvia Rachl from Germany won Silver in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event using her Walther LG400 Anatomic Expert.
Sergey Richter from Israel won Silver in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event using his Walther LG300XT.
Ivana Maksimovic from Serbia won Bronze in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event using her Walther LG400 Anatomic Expert and also won Bronze in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3P event using her Walther KK300 Anatomic.
Peter Sidi from Hungary won Bronze in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event using his Walther LG300XT.
Nemanja Mirosavljev from Serbia won Bronze in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3P event also using his Walther KK300 Anatomic.
Gold, Silver & Bronze in Munich

In the final ISSF Rifle and Pistol World Cup before the London Olympics, Hungarian shooter Ildiko Karmacsi (pictured) won Gold in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3P event. Using her Walther KK300 Alutec, 22 year old Karmacsi swept the field in Munich. Going into the event ranked 97th in the world, Karmacsi was an outside chance to make the final, but proved that she will be one to watch in London. Karmacsi had not made a World Cup final in this event before, and out-shot a strong field including the reigning Olympic Champion and current world record holder, Li Du of China.

Zongliang Tan from China won Silver in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol event using the Walther LP400 ALU.
Nemanja Mirosavljev from Serbia won Silver in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3P event using the Walther KK300 Anatomic.
Illia Charheika from Belarus won Silver in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle event using the Walther LG300XT Anatomic.
Dariya Sharipova from Ukraine won Silver in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle event using the Walther LG300XT Anatomic.

Marco de Nicolo from Italy won Bronze in the Men’s 50m KK Prone event using the Walther KK300 Alutec.
Vladimir Isakov from the Russian Federation won Bronze in the Men’s 50m Free Pistol event using the Hammerli FP60.
More Gold at Milan World Cup

China’s Zongliang Tan (pictured) took Gold in the Men’s 10m Air Pistol event at the ISSF World Cup in Milan this week, using the Walther LP400 ALU. Tan has had World Cup success in Milan before having won Gold in the same event in 2006.
Sonja Pfeilschifter from Germany also won Gold in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3P event using the Walther KK300 Alutec. This backed up the Gold she won earlier this month at the ISSF World Cup in London.
“I had a great week here, I like Milan and this range is good for me. You can tell from my results, which have always been positive here” Pfeilschifter said. “I will be training and training between now and the Olympics. I am confident for the Games.”

Walther wins first Gold in London

German shooter Sonja Pfeilschifter (pictured) won the first Gold medal at the recent ISSF World Cup in London in the 10m Air Rifle event. Using her Walther LG400 Alutec Expert, Pfeilschifter won the first medal to be awarded at the new purpose-built shooting complex at the Royal Artillery Barracks in south-east London – venue for the shooting events at this year’s Olympic Games. Pfeilschifter is the current equal world record holder for this event and is hoping to be selected for the German Olympic Team.

Stephanie Obermoser from Austria won Silver in the 50m Rifle 3P event using the Walther KK300 Alutec.
Vladimir Isakov from the Russian Federation won Silver in the 50m Pistol event using the Hammerli FP60, and in the 10m Air Pistol event using the Walther LP400 ALU.
Torben Grimmel from Denmark won Silver in the 50m KK Prone event using the Walther KK300 Alutec.
Sergy Rikther from Israel won Silver in the 10m Air Rifle event using the Walther LG300XT Alutec.
