Walther PPQ Tactical 9mm pistol with a 120mm barrel made exclusively for the Australian market

“We’ve been working with Walther for a while now, on a 9mm pistol that will comply with Australian regulations on barrel length, so we are excited that the PPQ Tactical will soon be available to the Aussie market” said Bernard Papps, Sales Director of Walther’s Australian Distributor, Frontier Arms.
The PPQ Tactical features the newly developed Quick Defense trigger and pre-cocked striker assembly which permit quick, safe firing at any time. The let-off point and trigger weight remain unchanged from the first shot to the last. The trigger has a very short reset path in keeping with the requirements of many IPSC and service shooters. The middle trigger serves as an additional, passive drop safety. These and other automatic safety features make the Walther PPQ Tactical an extremely safe pistol.

This will be a fun event and give Aussie 1911 fans, a great opportunity to celebrate 100 years of the Colt 1911.
The Colt Cup 2011 will be held over two days at SSAA Eagle Park Range (Little River), Victoria. Saturday’s competition is a centrefire handgun (with approval to use .45 ACP), rifle & shotgun event run under the One Match Discipline, consisting of six stages with “The Wild Bunch” as the theme. Open to any make of firearm, equipped with iron sights only (no optics) - Race guns are NOT permitted. “The Wild Bunch” theme dress code will apply.
Sunday’s competition is a centrefire handgun competition (with approval to use .45 ACP) and will be run under the Combined Services Discipline - (50 metre and 3 Position events) and can only be shot with a Colt handgun. Handguns must be equipped with iron sights (no optics) - Race guns are NOT permitted. For those shooters who do not yet own a Colt, there will be a selection of revolvers and semi-autos provided by Frontier Arms for free usage. (Factory ammo only to be used in these sponsor guns and ammo is the competitor’s responsibility). The Colt Cup Log Chop will also be held on Sunday - Colt handguns only.
Frontier Arms will be displaying the latest Colt handguns including the 100 Year Anniversary .45 1911 models.
